- Melatonin — may interact with sedatives, blood thinners, and immunosuppressants; not for children
- Ashwagandha — may interact with thyroid medications, immunosuppressants, sedatives, and is contraindicated in hormone-sensitive conditions and during pregnancy
- L-Tryptophan — should not be combined with SSRIs, SNRIs, or MAOIs due to risk of serotonin syndrome
- Lavender extract — may have additive effects with sedatives and CNS depressants
